My l816B right rear axle has broken twice, with less than 20 hours of work. Has anyone else had this problem? I was moving dirt while landscaping the first time. Had the axle replaced, and it broke the second time while moving snow, in less than 10 hours of use. Any suggestions, ideas regarding why this might have happened? Is it worth fixing again? Would appreciate any help with this problem.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's there was hundreds of those little machines being used in this area. We fixed many broken axles. The only place I have scene these break is in the welding securing the hub to the shaft. Trying to reweld them had little success. The new replacement axles at that time had the shaft coming through the hub further so there was more to weld to. I do not recall any of the replacement ones breaking. Rod.

Dad bought a new 1816B and we worked it to death without much problems. Are your tires the same size or is there any problems with the bearings chains or sprockets?

Doug on the 25, c1 and c3 were hanging up. c3 has to be warped as yes it still drags. Will talk in a week or so. Rod.
