Genos 01-10-2013 19:41:45 12.74.49.138 Report to Moderator	Finally got gaskets from Case/IH and the gasket between Hi/Low box and trans. looks the same on both sides to me, in my I&T Book it says it has to be turned the correct way or it will leak between casematic and trans.? I'm thinking they now make that gasket so it can go either way, is this correct? Old one looks the same. also mine has the seal carrier with the O ring on outside and back to back seals of the same #SKF-15592, they are lots slimmer than original, think i will put 2 for casematic side and 1 for trans. side, will this work? thanks Gene [Reply]   [No Email]
Case Nutty 1660 01-11-2013 05:06:41 75.127.24.27 Report to Moderator	Re: Joe Young another 611-b question? in reply to Genos, 01-10-2013 19:41:45   just a suggestion but myself I would not use two gaskets, I would use either High Tack spray in several lights coats on both sides of the gasket or CNH gasket eliminator the latter can be used by itself in these applications and with a gasket it works very well, from my experiance with backhoes and making a good long lasting seal in these areas I have found the CNH product to be my favorite just my two cents,, [Reply]  [No Email]

Note the information at the lower left corner of the page. The gasket is extended on one side to cover the end of the reverse idler shaft. I don't know the answer to your last question, other than to say I would install the seals exactly the way they were originally installed or per the service manual.
