Rod I come right of the pump into my 3 spool in the cab for the loader. but a flow meter on back remote and not good. get back to you.

If the 3 spool valve is hooked in directly after the pump that valve has to have its own relief valve in it. That could be at fault, but the pump maybe also. You will not know for sure unless you have the pump flow tested. Also is your filter pressure gauge in the normal green zone when the tractor is running? Rod.

A flo test of the pump is the first thing to do, It must be done by a trained technician as a pump can be totally destroyed by improper testing, I have tested many by simply hooking the flometer from the pump output to sump but that must be done with knowlege as there is no relief and a safe pressure at test cannot be exceeded. A Tee test is safer as the factory relief is in play but a pump only test can be safely done.

It is dangerous to add valves between the pump output and the original factory hookup unless one knows how tht valve is protected internally and a line to drain the installed valve is installed. the reason is that the valve installed will have full system pressure internally in areas of the valve that were not designed to. This happens when the tractor system is used in a normal manner and system pressure backs into the added valve with no sump return.

A drain line is essential to keep spool seals and other lo pressure areas protected.
