Reinz Head gasket question

Getting ready to put the heads back on my 700. Do these gaskets need to be soaked overnight prior to installing them. Also use Copper Coat or no?

Soaking them does not make sense. Some mechanics do use a coating, I never do. Make sure all threads are clean & oiled. However, the most important step you need to do to insure against a blown head gasket, is to re-torque. Re-torque this way. After installation & warm up, while still warm, starting with #1 nut in the pattern, back off nut 1/4 turn, & bring back up to torque. then move on to the next till they are all done.

Thanks John. Still haven't found that darn front engine cover gasket.

Blue gasket. you packed it, I remember seeing it, but could never find it after I started putting the engine back together.

Don't put oil in the thread hole, just lightly on head bolts. You can "hydraulic" them and get false torques or ruin the block.
Just a bit of advise.
