Can I use new oil as in Shell Rotella in it or do I need to use a detergant or non detergent oil. Never can remember which one is in use today. For years our dealer got cases of 30 wt Rotella he called bid oil and Dad and I both used it in cars and pickups with no problems. After bulk dealer retired and changed hands new dealer wouldn't give us the same deal and I started using Havoline from Walmart in all my stuff. Jim [Reply]  [No Email]

My semi truck has 15,827 hours and 994,031 miles as I'm writing this and burns no oil in 20,000 miles. I use it in my 400 diesel and pickup and lawn equipment too. My pickup has 201,000 miles and doesn't use any oil yet. [Reply]  [No Email]
