I have been kind ashamed to post some of the pics., lately of the 300. Back when Jon was here I told him that I had to get out the rubbing compound and bring the paint back, and clean it up. The ride It took me on to the upper 40 the other day cleaned it's sneakers up so they were nice and black again, and its belly got masaged in the deep snow, so after plowing all the drives and sidwalks yesterday, I grabbed some rags, and went after it. After I got the hood and fenders rubbed out, I decided to install the CASE Emblem on the hood that I'm sure you noticed wasn't there, along with the cast aluminum hinged grill frame, which I can live wuthout.
Sooo, I found me a peice of scrap 1x strap iron and formed a round bezel, and cut a round metal disc, tack welded and sealed with silicone in back to mount and protect the fragile new emblem, (Thank You again,Joe B). The emblem is parcially recessed in the bezel so if a limb or something strikes that area the bezel should keep the emblem from getting broken. I took the old gal out into the sun and snow today, sooo, she could show off with her better look.HeHe.
Happy New Year to ALL you my CASE Friends.
Loren

Geez Loren a little elbow grease and she has her Sunday Best on.
Like you, years ago,I took the emblem off my Dads "411"(belongs to me now)and my Dad said to me once, why did you remove the emblem,I said I didnt want it to be damaged or stolen,he didnt say anymore, wish today I would have left it alone.
Wow,its like the "300" has a bowtie on now with the emblem.

Loren, how do those ladder style chains work out with your good tires? I've got a new set which came along with my '54 SC I bought a few years back. Tires are BALD, so the work very well. I always figured I'd need to add some webbing when I get new tires??

Glen,
We call them road chains, here. Not as agressive as double ring chains. I run them loose and that lets them "work" over the lugs.
