All Orange case 1031?

I think they made 3 of them like that. I believe you lost 4th and 8th gear when you put the transfer case in. Someone painted and decaled it that that way. That should be a 1032 by the looks of the fenders.

Question where did they tie in the drive shaft off the pto, because I am not case guru but I don't think they had belt pullys on those I know the IH 560 tied in that way.

Here's another one . . .

All you could get from the factory was western fenders if you took
the 38 rear inch rubber option. It was a package. Only other choice
was to take a cab in later years.

I sold 5 or 6 1030 "GP" tractors new with 38" rubber all of them had the small fenders only ones I sold that came with the wide ones stock were the Western specials but you could order the wide ones on all of them

That's what one should look like. Case really screwed up with 70 series tractors, when they didn't offer MFD.
I had many a conversation with Case engineering, and Bill Simpson about 4WD, but they were focused on 1470/2470, and failed to recognize the potential for 90-140HP conventional tractors with MFD. With help from Bill S. I was able to get this 1070 HFA developed by Mud Hog drive systems and also HFAs for early 90 series tractors.

We got 1031s with 18.4x38s both ways, elepant ears and rowcrop fenders. We always ordered the rowcrop fenders on 31s but when the 70 series came out there were (deals) on 1030s that wern't shipped down under. We took 3 trailer loads of all tire and fender configurations, 31s and 32s, but all had elephant ear fenders on them. ugly looking, but then, they sold quick with the price that was on them.

we sold them with 18.4 x 38's most with dualls, we have o irragation here or row crop type farming which is where I have seen them with 15.5 x 38's I have thought them to be a 830 with those small tires at a distance before lol

Gee Loren,Bill was quite the guy wasnt he,he got things done at Case, you sparked my memory,I hate to say this but I had forgotten his contribution to the Case Company.
There was no nonsense with Bill, also talked with him several times, enjoyed every conversation

(quoted from post at 11:20:55 12/29/12) On the form New Ag Talk 12/27/12 there is a post of this tractor with a front wheel assist added thought you case boys would like to see it.

That looks like a typical construction job respray. Powerwash it and paint it. No attention to detail or anything. Case didn't even use the emblem that they sprayed at the time to be period correct. Not a bad tractor, just a visually appealing paintjob done one winter somewhere.

I posted pics of that in the auction earlier this year. I remember this tractor at The Great Oregon Steam Up in the tractor pull. He was using a lot of water at the time and thought that is was a head gasket. Sounds as if that were not the case. It had really glossy paint on it at the time. It looks like it has spent some time outside unfortunately. Zane
