Well, the storm arived here mid morning, yesterday. Nasty raw wind that picked up more as the day went by. Had 28+mph sustained winds with gusts up to 41, overnight, acording to my Davis weather station.. Had heavy snow all night and into this AM. Looks to me that we got about 16" all said and done of very dense hard to move snow. Temp. high today 26F. Down to 21F with 10 degree wind chill index, as I am posting. Tried backing the Kubota out of the lower shop this morning, but had to drive back in and put chains on the front. I ended up using the walkbehind snowblower to make a hole big enough to get the Kubota out, and pointed down the driveway towards the road. Later I had to put the iron on the rears also.I had to pull the plow bank in the upper driveway out into the road to even get to the garage.

Well ,somebody had to get it,Glad it was not me,sorry it was you,Hey it could have landed in Gillette! wouldnt that been a hoot!

Bro I think you need to fire up the 310 crawler to move that snow as the Kubota is a bit slow with that kind of snow!! I kinda wish we had gotten what you did we got maybe 4" of fluffy stuff but it sure is slick on the roads here cnt

Loren it looks to me you were planing for a long cold snowy winter by the size of that wood pile. If the fridge and freezer are full sit back and enjoy the winter ,no need to dig out. lol, Rod.

Glad I don't have to dig all that out. We got 14" a while back and a dusting from the storm you are getting hit with. Suposed to get a couple of inches tonight too.

We ended at about 10" in the open. Most of the way to my knee in the woods. Takes all the fun out of hunting.

Spent about 2 hours on the 770 to clear the mess. Don't have any chains for her, had to be real careful what I tried to do.

Rod,
I could do that very easily, BUT I have a wife and step mom that have a need to make their apointed rounds. The wife only goes to town on Fridays, and today is Fri. She also picks up som barley pop for me, HeHe. The step mom on the otherhand feels that she has to socialize with "the girls" (not cows), every day, and she missed yesterday. Not complaining, must be pretty lonley for her over there without Dad. I also have a 92 year young neighbor who likes to get out and about, and get to his woodworking shop which is a seperate building. Winter keeps me and another neighbor, that has lived next door since we were both born, pretty busy. The two of us maintain about 5A of lawn etc. in the neighborhood. He also attends to the needs of some older people the other side of his place.
I'd go crazy being a couch potato, this compuker is a bad enough idiction.

We got about 10" here in central Pa. Had to hook on to the 6ft. Woods/Alloway blower and shoot some over on the neighbors! Ha ha, well, at least into the fence row. Have seen worse, no melting expected anytime soon. Stay safe, DW
