Remembering Loved Ones !

While Joely and I wish everyone good health and fortune in the upcoming year, let's not forget those CASE friends we lost. DC Tom, Harry Kline, and others. To those families we just want to say that we share in your loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with you during the holidays. Merry Christmas from NW Ohio. Mike

Very good point Mike, thanks for bringing that up,I was so happy to have something of DC Tom's life.
And my brother Roy's life, there are so many times I have Case questions, and he isnt here.Guess I'm thankful for time we had with him

Lost a library of info when we lost "The Preacher" Ed Axthelm. We'd talk 4 times a week. Had a lot of fun w/ ole Ed. I'd get him riled up, & he'd say "now just hold on a minute here". Really miss him.

John,
never met "the preacher" but ordered vac parts and sent a check for them. When he went to pull the parts they weren't as described and he called me and sent back my check. I'm in Arkansas so he could have gotten by with it. Now that is a man of integrity.

What brand of preacher? Just curious, lots of preachers in my family.

Ande, I'm thankful for the items I got from Lisa too. I agree with you John also, lots of knowledge was gained from talking with fellows like this, now it's our turn to pass on what we've learned from them. Mike

Somehow, I don't really know, but "The Preacher" was a nickname Ed earned. He did use a lot of "biblical" names in his speech, but it was more cursin' than preachin'

It was a nickname; in one of the early issues of "Old Abe's News" there is a photo of him, Dave Erb, the seller, and Ray Hoffman, the buyer of a 15-27. The caption reads, the buyer, the seller, and the preacher who blessed the deal. That's the origin of his nickname.

Michael,

Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for the time we had with these old Case men. We are losing them at an alarming rate these days. Don

Oh, o k
He had values though. Honest man to deal with. Anybody know what happened to his bone yard. I think I still have his business card.
