t970 12-19-2012 21:19:35 136.1.1.104 Report to Moderator	Rod I just got a chance to check on the 3pt on the 970 today the valve under the seat is moving, all cables are good, and no pins broken. So where should I look next if I pick up the lift arms it feel like there is no hyd. fluid in the lift cylinder they just free float up and down. [Reply]   [No Email]

The spool sticking out the front of the valve is disconnected from the draft linkage by removing the spring on it, then insert a punch in the hole drilled through the end of the spool. Using the punch as a handle turn the spool counter clockwise to unthread it from the draft linkage in the tractor. After valve is removed take care not to push the linkage in tractor to far rearward, you need that sticking forward so when reinstalling the valve you can get the two parts threaded back together. The valve removal for the first time can seem difficult but it really is'nt, it just takes time and ask questions if you encounter a problem. Rod. [Reply]  [No Email]
1370rod 12-20-2012 05:50:23 174.125.224.243 Report to Moderator	Re: 1370rod in reply to t970, 12-19-2012 21:19:35   With all those items checking out OK your problem is more than likely a stuck ball or spool in the valve. (your remotes do work properly right?) The valve is located under the operators seat, that and the platform it sits on will have to be removed. A manual explaining its removal, disassembly and cleaning as well as assembly would be helpful for you. Basicly the items in the valve have to all be clean and free moving. Also with the valve removed the oil ports in the housing which the valve sits on can be pressurized with air pressure and the arms should raise. If they don't you have more serious problem inside the tractor. As far as the arms seeming loose when lifted by hand, thats normal.Just a reminder, keep everything very clean when its apart. Rod. Next place to go is to pull the small cover on the side of the DOM valve that you say moves under the seat. There is a check valve, and 2 needle valves under there. DO NOT mess with the needle valves unless you have a service manual. One of them will need to be cleaned and reset, and the other is the adjustment for the control of the valve. DO NOT mess with this one!!!! I have not been into one for a couple years and do not remember which one is which. I do need to do my 970 before I blow snow again so one of these days I will have the info you need if someone else does not chime in. [Reply]  [No Email]
