CASE collector adjective

In writing a few articles about CASE tractors, I'm looking to find an adjective I can use that would best label a CASE collector.

A couple suggestions I was given include: Eaglet, C.C. (Case Collector) and Old Abe'r.

If you can think of a good adjective that would be appropriate, post it here.

I just found out the other day every time my father purchased a Case his brothers would sing,
"Another Case of Poor Judgement"

Their loss was his gain............right?

A friend of mine who collects other brands has given Case the following acronym

Can"t
Afford
Something
Else

I laugh everytime I hear it.

had to throw this one in and let you guy's know I am still alive cnt

Clear
And
Simple
English

this is right out of the Service/Parts manuals

Why don't you just call us "Case Guys", like you would IH Guys, Ford Guys, Massey Guys, MM Guys, Oliver Guys, White Guys,Cat Guys, etc. Hope I didn't miss anyone, LOL

I can't think of a better compliment than to be called a Case "man". It reminds me of all the old time dealers who were canceled out because they were too old, or too small, or their buildings weren't good enough. They almost always hated the company, but were Case "men" until the day they died. I love being known as the local Case man. Don

Don,
We never hated the CASE CO. Our family knew many corporate people in the company over the years. My grandad, father, and I hunted and fished together with many people in Case Co., several time a year, here on Clinton Camp Farm and fishing trips to Canada. My dad had two bedrooms upstaires in his house, jokenlly call the "CASE Suit". He hosted execs, engineers, and our closer Case friends from the Syracuse, NY., branch. When the "merger evolved, things changed. We were one of those( old traditional Case dealers) we survived the "cut" IH dealer verses Case dealer in the area, but then the pressure was on for mega facilities, compukers, etc. At the same time in 1984/5 we were dealing with major differential failures in 20/2290 tractors, which accounted for a majority of our sales. The then new CaseIH Co. simply took a list of all 20/22s shipped to us and sent a near $100,000.oo shipment of rework parts to us to be installed in the tractors we received. Well!, many of them had been transfered to other dealers. Why CaseIH didn't use waranty registration records to ship parts is a major question???? The Diff. reworks required local machineshop work, and would tie up two bays of our shop for a two week period per tractor. Parts terms were 30 days net. We closed Oct. 1986.

Loren,

I am pleased to hear you had a good experience with the old Case company. In my interviews with old line Case dealers the vast majority were unhappy in their dealings and the way things ended. Some of this was their own doing and some was the company's fault. My point was they almost always maintained their loyalty to the Case brand, something you cannot say about the new company at all.

Your situation changed because Case IH was made up almost entirely of IH failed management people. The joke was 1 vice-president short of a full deck. IH brought 51 VPs to Case and they really favored the big IH dealers.

Being pushed out or even voluntarily retiring as a Case dealer was a traumatic experience for many. I'm pleased to hear you are doing well. Don

Now that you have some good suggestions why not list your favorites and let the forum participants choose the one or two that they like best? Rod.

HMMMM Idiot  , darned fool  and others comes to mine    just teasing guys :D :D :D !

If I can fine one in my budget a 30 or 70 series (not toys) is on my wish list!
