Grandpa's tractors

I found some old pictures of my grandparents farm, 1945 SC, 1954 DC in the middle and 57 400. I still have the SC and I'm in the process of restoring it, wish I had the 400 but sadly it was sold in the farm sale after he died. I'm not sure how many LP rowcrop 400s were made but I haven't seen very many. I have another 54 DC and I would love to find a 400 LP one day to complete the trio.

Case enthusiasts start early in your family HEH!
The 414 Florida LP/Gas production numbers were 120 in 1958, as best I remember.. Chuck

Great picture. Just about what my Grandpa's farm looked like. He had a dc3, dc4 and a 400 lp, but his was a wide front row crop. I have the dc4, and just picked up a 400 lp. You are right about them being rare. I looked for over a year, and only found 3.

Thanks for sharing the picture

Great picture!!!
What year was it took? The GMC looks like it's from the 70's.
Thanks for posting

There was a guy that had a wide front 400 LP for sale in Texas on this forum back around the end of October.

The truck looks identical to a 1978 GMC that I still have that I bought new in May 1978. Good trucks with 12,000 Lb towing capacity. Mine is two wheel drive with a 1 ton differential from the factory. I have to buy brake shoes and drums for a 1 ton. Front is disc brakes. I do like the Case tractors and old farm photos. ---Derrol in Texas
