head advise needed

I am replacing a bad manifold and I have a lot more pitting around the exhaust manifold holes than I care for. (I don’t have big gaps, just pits)

Normally I would have the manifold area planned but I do not want to remove the heads.

I am thinking about using a hi-temp silicone sealer to help seal the manifold gaskets.

Anyone got a sure fire trick around this type of problem.

I don’t know if a product like JB weld would handle the heat?

Thank You for the reply

If you dont mind can you please answer a couple of questions.

Did the JB weld last?

How long ago did you do the repair.

I am only asking because I have heard that JB weld does not last when used against something like a manifold.
