I have a gas engine from a 1966 660 that is a 188. It has no numbers on the model stamp on the engine tag, but the bore would make it a 188.

I put one in a 500b. Had to add one inch to the hood and side frame. Also had to use the front cover from the old engine for governor assembly. It would fit a 350, 600 with a different rear main seal 530 and 630 also. It was never put in a tractor by case. Makes a good powerful tractor out of one. Mine will pull this rake in direct 4th with 15.5 x 38 tires.

I should have clairifed that better I have seen a few very early 660's with a 188 gas, the books do not even show them so I would say very few were put out thanks cnt

My neighbor had some old machinery and I saw an iron man up there,he had a 660 in the grove I thought if the iron was after it I might try to get the engine off him, luckily he isnt cutting up the combine.
