I have a 1070 which was low on hydralic fluid--no power steering,no clutch,no brakes,no PTO no nothing with engine running. The gauge on dash said no pressure.Went and filled to proper level and still no pressure. What went wrong here?? thanks

pump may be air locked have seen this before especialy if pump is getting weak or suction screen is getting plugged with debris, try starting engine and wrapping throttle wide open and see if it will pick up oil, that usally will make them prime and its better than running with a airlock cnt

What year is it? On early models the pump was driven off the torque limiter plate which can fail, the spring center can go bad and the shaft driving the pump stop.

The pump also could have a complete meltdown internally. There is a suction screen on the bottom of the pto housing accessable only after removing the complete pto housing, I have seen dirty ones but it would be almost unconcievable to be plugged that completely.
Orings at the pump suction pipe, not likely but......

Although not a good thing , plugged filters will not keep oil from getting to where it belongs as there are filter bypass cartridges in each filter ( assuming its a powershift) that will open and allow unfiltered oil to go through.

Just read casecollectors post and am ammending mine in response. The fact that he lost steering and brakes also suggests a total pump failure. No steering and brake return will seriousl degrade powershifting as the steering return returns to sump through the 75 psi lube pressure regulator which operates the reverse lockout spool which has lands which also direct clutching oil flow. A powershift failure alone will not cause total system failure. However , the more info we have will help zero in on the problem.

If it is a yellow early model like mine this is the trouble! Need to split at the bell housing.
