You know Nutty, I think these machines are closer to reality than we care to admit. This will kill the fun of farming with your nieghbors. Won't be much fun farming along side a robot. I refuse to give up control of the steering wheel of my Case tractors, lol, Rod.

I agree Rod, when I was still at the county in about 94 CAT showed us a movie on 200 ton haul trucks running at a test track with no operator, one of our local coal mines was going to buy them, a week before they were going to ship them two of them collided due to some malfunction, they are still in testing the last I knew cnt

Kinze and JD already have an auto steer system for a tractor to follow a combine to unload on the go without an operator. After unloading, the tractor takes itself to the headland and shuts itself off. The truck driver then unloads the cart and resets the auto system.

I agree with you completely corperate farms already have taken the farmers "soul" out of farming the way I know it, I am not judging just saying cnt

How are they working out? they were really pushing them before the accident, as far a company stand point I could see how they would save money for them compared to employee's cnt

As far as i know there have been no technical problems with them and there are many in use.

Plenty of people ask questions about the employment implications of them, but I guess that is true of almost every technical innovation in history.
