801B hydraulic clutch adjustments

Hello, I recently purchased a Case 801B at an auction and I don't think the clutch is working properly. When in high range and I push the clutch in it will not stop. It will if I drop it back into low range before I stop. Is this normal? My other issue is I cannot put it into gear while in high range. She just wants to grind. Is there something I can adjust myself or does this mean the clutch is bad? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

When you step on the pedal there is a clip that moves the upper spool into caseomatic range instead of lockup position. Have seen the clip broken that it won't kick down. Its the two spools that the clutch pedal is connected to forward of the pedal.

Sounds like maybe you are confusing "High Range" with Converter Lock-up. High Range & Low Range are in the 4Sp Gear Box. 1-2-3-4 are Low Range, move the gear shift up into High Range for 5-6-7-8. The lever on the side of the steering column controls the lock-up feature of the Torque Converter. Pulled back locks it up. However, everytime the foot clutch is depressed, it should automatically take it out of direct drive. You will actually see the hand lever move forward. Is this happening?

the COM presure gauge sould go down whne the clutch is pressed in. If not the spool is oput of alinement or the port it plugged
