oil in water - vac14

We bought a non-running vac a while back. It started knocking, and they quit using it. There was not water in the oil, but there was a lot of oil in the water. Ideas? Most leaks would put oil in the water, but I thought maybe someone here might know a quirk for these engines. We ran into the notorious front end in the way of the pan (archives) pan problem today, but may get it slid forward tomorrow.

I had a similar problem with my DC and it turned out that the #3 cylinder sleeve had developed a pinhole leak in it letting oil into the water........had bubbles in the water too......must have been small enough that during the power stroke it forced oil and exhaust through it yet small enough to not let water drip through..........

When we got deeper, we found that antifreeze had been in the oil as well. It looks like it was the head gasket.
