Taking an informal "VOTE" . To leave my 870 B/K with the wide front or put a narrow front on it.
PLEASE VOTE,..... narrow or wide.

Narrow, thats what my 770 is, its much handier and takes up less shed room. Its not like you need the stability to mow road ditches.

if it came with a wide I would leave it, but the narrows are seen much less, and like others said sharper turning depneding what you are going to do with it I myself do not care to run one day after day for the ride cnt

The election board will have to review this vote. Seems you voted twice. But say it was your wife/kids, and it all cool. LOL

Don: I'm starting to worry about you. WIDE!! Putting a narrow front on an 870 is like putting a cheap $3.00 wig on a Queen or Princess.

Don, I have to make the same decision soon also, and came to this conclusion.I have a narrow front set ready to go as I'm sure you have also. For now when I finish the 870 the wide front stays on. If I use the tractor alot the wide front will stay on most of the time. But I do plan on displaying it every few years with the narrow on and it will probably stay on if I retire it from active duty. So as far as I'm conserned you can't go wrong either way, it will be a darn nice tractor. Rod.

Hummmmm I vote leave with the girl you came to the dance with........hee hee wide front is my vote. Can't wait to see her in her prom duds!!! God Bless

Don L,

Don R says narrow, only because it looks cool and rarely seen. Used to be a 1030 narrow front that smoked the competition at local fairs here. Very cool, but not very safe IMHO. Don

I have several narrow front tractors. I normally would say the narrow front. They are much less popular as well as excellent for parking in the shed in less space and showing. However you are not just dealing with an 870. You have a black knight. You need to leave it just as it came from the factory. If you are planning to show the tracotr, I would get a copy of the build card to display with it. Anyone can restore a tractor or modify one. To keep one origional is much tougher to do and very much appreciated.

I've been trained in polling place management by the state of Florida.

It seems the vote was unanimous for NARROW. The polls are now closed and the ballots misplaced.... Carry On!

Narrow! You can always wiggle it in a tight spot in the shed, takes up much less of that valuable shed space. Don't see many 70's that way. They look cool.

Narrow !! I am going to put 1 on the 1 I am rebuilding this winter just to be different !I have never seen 1 .only in sales lit.
