1070 case trans problem in wi.

I,am not sure if this is the same 1070 as ss asked about below? This one is in wi.if it not the one told me he started slipping while cutting corn stalks he change filter and went out next day and worked a couple more hours and then it slipped again,I think he said it barly made it home, and has used it on the bagger since, just moving it around with the skid steer.stationary pto work since it stopped moving.sounds more like powershift problems on this one.all other hyd functions work.to do the whole rebuild what's a est cost. To redo the powershift.I did one on a 2290 like 19 years ago.so I,am a little familiar with all the work.will have to buy a book, but was just looking for what parts would cost to redo the power shift trans and valve. Thanks guys. Steve

Steve, usually a bad P Shift will have some small amount of movement in one of the shifts. Having nothing is strange unless the torq limiter is burned out from slippage or hub damage. If the P Shift is making a grinding or rattleling noise indicating plantatary damage that can cost alot to repair. Otherwise if you can fix it your self a couple grand can go a long ways if there is no plant. damage. Do a complete hyd and press. test on the tractor before you start. Never know, it might not be so bad. Rod.
