In 2004, we went to see DC Tom. He still had the build cards on the Flamebeau tractors. We also went to Westville, IN to a tractor pull. He allowed me to pull his tractor in one of the classes. I went to sit in the bleachers after that and was sitting beside a guy when a John Deere G came out to pull. The guy said "that's the tractor that is going to win this pull". Two or three tractors later DC came up on the DC. The said "What is that guy going to do with that little tractor?" Guess what DC won. No more comment from the guy. Pictures later.

i got to see dctom bout every weekend when we pulled with em. Tom loved pulling and case tractors. I think about Tom everyday. I was there in 2004 at that westville pull too, and I belive he won every class he entered that day, come to think of it,,, he won alot! that G had nothing on Tom, his wisdom got that DC he had in the winners circle almost everytime! My dad loved heckling tom bout his ol dc. may they both rest in peace. Our community is not the same with em gone. When ever Id take over the lead in his class, i couldnt celebrate much, cause ol tom was on deck and he always got a good hook n id say he whooped on us, as much as we did. it was always entertaining at Bremen. Hed make a pass, n his cheer section in the bleachers would hoop n hollar,, n Tom would tip his hat to em. Ive got a stack of video tapes of 15yrs of pulling with tom, he truly was a great person. I miss him. Chad

That is so cool as we just had a big discussion on the Combine forum about G's and DC's

On another note does anyone know what happened to the build cards. DCTom told me the info on my grandpa's tractor that I rebuilt but I would love to have the build card itself.......
