2670 advice

I need some advice on the 2670. We bought a 2670 with a siezed engine. When we pull the seized engine out would you also pull the powershift and go through it or would you take a chance the powershift is good and put the good engine in. Previous owner said the powershift was good when the tractor was parked 3 years ago but was jumpy between shifts.

if it were me I would run the tranny the jumpy is just the "retard" adjusting screws need to be adjusted my thoughts cnt

I appreciate the reply cnt. Already talked to the local CASE dealer. He has the box to adjust the tranny.

Ah, the good old blinky box. I have never used one in 40 yrs. When I was a young punk our CASE Ser. Rep. showed how to adjust them without it. Now that I'm a old punk I still set them without. If unfamiliar with the system better use the box. That adjustment is really sensitive to trans oil temp, you will find out that a good setting with hot oil is no good with cold oil. Thats just something you learn to live with. Rod.
