Going to my buddies shop to do all the piddley/mild fixins it needs. Born Feb 10th 1971, shipped to Friesland Wi Feb 16th to Alsum Imp. Listed on the build card as a Golden Demo Tractor. Weren't they listed as a Black Knight on the build card? Maybe it it's a Golden, with a bit added paint....? Don't know what to think?? Either way , I like it

Don,
I would say that she has some makeup on her. The fender stripes are incorrect, the steps are incorrect, (perhaps from a removed after market cab, and the grab handles in the fender light sockets are interesting. Looks like with a little work, it will be a beauty again. I also noticed that it had the optional "bucket seat".

I like it, whats the plans for this neat tractor? Glad you mentioned BK, I have not yet found where CASE calls these tractors BK's. I'm beginning to wonder if someone used that as a nick name and it just stuck. We all know if you mention Black Night to tractor people they know what you are reffering to, but mention Golden Opportunity Demo's and they might say Huh. Just my thoughts, Rod.

Card listed as No Cab. Steps are like for a aftermarket cab, nasty narrow. States a Bucket Seat on card. Don't know what to think about the grab socket, I am glad it's there though, handy.

my thought is this, I think all of the "Demo" tractors were called Golden Demo's on the build card at least it seems I have heard that, next with that build date it has to be a BK as all GD's were made in 1970, next is the side tin model designation decal, it say's "Agri King" under 870, GD tractors did not have this it said "Agri King" on the strip the the BK's said 336 cubes or what ever engine cubes they had cnt

you could have ordered it with a tri-cycle front, they were set up for the best operation for the country they were ordered for although I have never seen a tri front Demo not saying they aren't out there cnt

Don,
I also noticed that in order to slide out the battery tray, you have to remove the triangular brace for those nast steps. A standard set of factory steps for a non cab, should not be that hard to find. They also made steps for the RH side (parts item) on non cabs. I see that the Case grab handle is on the cowel. I think the fenders had holes for the same handles, with plastic plugs in them

I have a set on my 770, close in usefulness to a teats on a boar hog. Maybe 1 time in 100 do I use them, and when I do, I trip over my feet as it isn't the trained natural motion of using the left side steps.

The build cards I have seen for black knights all said golden demo. The hand hold in the fender is from the cab. I figured you'd have that all done up by now.

The Gold Demo's had "Golden Opportunity" on build card. Also all of the golden demo's I know of have the rear wheel lugs painted silver to match the rims. Some have cast grills but not all. The lower side panel by the platform on your tractor should have been desert sunset along with the fenders. Nice find!
