210B hydraulics

I recentley purchased a 1959 210B that runs awesome. I am having problems with the fel, I was told to bleed the hydro lines but it didnt really do anything. I have a model 21 loader, and it is very slow to resond and will not extend all the way up. The higher i try to make it go the slower it gets and it will move some then hesitate some. I want to change the hydro fluid and filters, but im unsure about where the filter is and where to get one. any help would be awesome. And, any other advise would be appreciated. Thanks for all the help, Jeremy.

First, you don't change the filter. It's a stainless steel filter you wash out and reuse. The rectangular box on the right side of the tractor is the reservoir for the front loader. The cone on the top of it has the filter. Just remove the four screws and remove the cap and the filter is located there. If your tractor is missing the filter then this is the part you need. From your description it sounds like more than likely your hydraulic pump needs to be overhauled. There may also be some leakage with the control mechanism. I believe I would have a qualified mechanic with the proper tools look at it.

I have the hyd. pump and other hyd parts from a 211b which should be the same. Also the reservoir tank. Thanks Jim --No-Advertising-in-Forums

Good deal, thanks for all the information. I think i may try and clean the filter and change the fluid and see what that does. Thanks for the quick replies, Jeremy.

On my tractor I would guess it was decades since the filter was cleaned and there was very little debris in it. I just rinsed it out with lacquer thinner and blew it out with compressed air.
