How does one remove the 2 studs or bolts on the front and side of the hood. also would like to know where i could find new air cleaner stack tube? Thanks

You need a deep socket to remove the nuts; I think it's 1/2 inch but it has been 40 years since I removed an LA hood so I can't say for sure. Once you get the nuts off, you can pull the sides of the hood outward and the bolts will slide out of their slots.
For the airstack tube, contact Dave Reed at Otto Gas Engine Works; he has a website.

Thanks for the info-I just bought the tractor and am going through it. I hope to have a guy down in Iowa repaint it this winter. The last owner tweeked the front corners taking it off-Hope to have lookin like new by spring-Thanks again

Jeff, Every time I rebuild a Case LA, I install brass extension nuts on the hood bolts. This makes installing and removing the hood much easier. I use brass to prevent the rust bonding that occurs with steel nuts. Love the Case LAs.---Derrol in Texas---
