The Franklin Mint SC is a 1/12 scale tractor not a 1/8 scale. that was the largest scale built until Scale Models came out with the 1/8 scale. They made mainly John Deere, Oliver, and IH tractors but they did make the 730 Case. I do believe that is the only Case that was made in this scale. It is just a solid cast tractor because that is all that scale models does. They aren't making any high detail tractors. The value has gone up on all of the 1/8 scale tractors since not many collectors were buying them but now with not much new stuff coming out the collectors are trying to fill in the gaps of toys they didn't buy new and this has pushed the prices up. The more common versions such as a John Deere D are $200 a piece. and some of the hardest versions to find such as an industrial John Deere D or White Demonstrator IH M can go for $600. The Case 730 is in my opinion valued in the $200 to $250 range, unless you find an auction where two people must have it. As for implements I'm not positive but I believe they only made John Deere and IH implements. they made a flare box wagon, a disk, and a manure spreader, but almost any custom toy maker can make implements for the 1/8 scale if you are willing to pay for it. as for a 4x4 in 1/8 scale I've never heard of that being from the factory, and I believed the largest 1/8 tractor was the John Deere 4440, but I know there was a big bud custom made a few years ago that could have been 1/8 scale. the 1/16 scale big buds are pretty much the same size as the 1/8 scale tractors. |
