Rod

I should have given a better answer the first time....

The first number indicates the model: "4" = 430 series, "5" = 530 series, and "6" = 630 series.

The second number indicates the engine: "4" = Spark Ignition; "3" = Diesel. (spark ignition engines: 430 = 148 ci, 530 = 159 ci, and 630 = 188 ci). All three used the 188 ci diesel engine.

The third number indicates the configuration: "0" Utility, "1" General Purpose (row crop), and "5" LCK

A trailing "H" or "L" indicates non-standard gearing (low or high speed)

A trailing "C" on the 530 & 630 indicates the case-o-matc clutch. (was not an option on the 430)

Rod I think this should be right as I have a 541 tagged 530, mine is a adjustiable front and rear axle not a low clearance unit with a gas engine cnt

Everything matches to what I was told buy the seller from you and Joe. The sellers (heirs) don't know if the 3pt is eagle hitch, any guesses? thanks again, Rod.

Rod I am not sure with out digging out one of my "knowleage books" to see if it gives a serial break when DOM became std, I do know you could have either rigded or swinging arms for some time long before your serial# big question I would say does it say "Eagle Hitch" on the rockshaft cover? unless it has been changed that should tell the tale as I am pretty sure DOM controls were never on with the Eagle Hitch casting in the rockshaft housing am sure Joe can shed more light on this question, although we sold a fair amount of 430/530/470/570 tractors we sold 20 backhoes to 1 AG tractors at our dealerships due to the oilfields here, kinds still shows here today as we have no AG dealers at all but do have Case,Cat JD and several other Indusrial deals here today, sorry not sure this really helped answer your question, my rambleing gets out of hand cnt
