1/8 Scale Case Toy Tractors.?

Friend of mine said he spotted 3 CASE toy tractors at an antique place, and they were larger than 1/16th. Did anyone make 1/8th scale models of CASE.? What would they be worth.? Thanks, Mike

this is the only 1/8th tractor I know that was made, I wanted implements but never found any available, the 1/16" 830 is for comparsion cnt

Will try to locate them, and report back what I find in a few days, they are about 4 hrs away from me. Thanks guys for the help! Tom would you know what they might be worth.? Mike

That is one reason I've never boughten a 1/16th model of a VAC. They all have the High Pressure cylinder and the Eagle Hitch. I've never found one with just the High Pressure Lift Cylinder alone like my 48'VAC has.

I ran a 1/8 scale 730 up to $198.00 about a year ago on e-bay and never got it. They use to be on e-bay ever once and a while, but I have not seen any for 10-11 months.

They stopped making them cause the market didn't go for them. I never bought any cause they didn't fit in with the 1/16's. I would rather own some of the scratch built units such as Lyle Dingmans D and DC's.

John,
Your spot on!! Details were poor, they were costly, and wouldn't fit on a normal shelf.
I also prefered the Dingman tractors at the same app. price.

While having a Dingman tractor might be nice, I'll always treasure the 3 Steel Wheeled DC's that I have from DC Tom's collection. They have a shelf all to their own.

agreed, all of the treasures I got from Lisa that was Tom's are very special to me also, I have a Renkie "SC" from him, I know I did not spell that right but it is very detailed also cnt

I have a Ricke DC that is absolutely beautiful. Whenever he was going to build a model, he would buy a real tractor and measure every part.

The Franklin Mint SC is a 1/12 scale tractor not a 1/8 scale. that was the largest scale built until Scale Models came out with the 1/8 scale. They made mainly John Deere, Oliver, and IH tractors but they did make the 730 Case. I do believe that is the only Case that was made in this scale. It is just a solid cast tractor because that is all that scale models does. They aren't making any high detail tractors. The value has gone up on all of the 1/8 scale tractors since not many collectors were buying them but now with not much new stuff coming out the collectors are trying to fill in the gaps of toys they didn't buy new and this has pushed the prices up. The more common versions such as a John Deere D are $200 a piece. and some of the hardest versions to find such as an industrial John Deere D or White Demonstrator IH M can go for $600. The Case 730 is in my opinion valued in the $200 to $250 range, unless you find an auction where two people must have it. As for implements I'm not positive but I believe they only made John Deere and IH implements. they made a flare box wagon, a disk, and a manure spreader, but almost any custom toy maker can make implements for the 1/8 scale if you are willing to pay for it. as for a 4x4 in 1/8 scale I've never heard of that being from the factory, and I believed the largest 1/8 tractor was the John Deere 4440, but I know there was a big bud custom made a few years ago that could have been 1/8 scale. the 1/16 scale big buds are pretty much the same size as the 1/8 scale tractors.
