dc has helical cut gears and C has spur gears, later dc's after around 1945 had a longer first reduction shaft and there is differences in the the gears and forks, I put CC gears into a 40 dc and also put a cc trans cover onto a 40 dc, it's not just a drop in deal, forks had to be modified ect., if the problem is worn clutch splines just have them rebuilt, if you don't have a shop that can do it there is one near here that can, if you can't find anything I may get a couple of CC's to part out this fall

Other thing to keep an eye on is the serial breaks. Being a 1929 the carb and fan drive were different, and there may be other differences. I think there were 3 major changes during C production.

dboll: If you ARE parting out a CC, I'm looking for a radiator for one. Don't necessarily care about the condition of the core, but I need all the cast pieces, elbows included. What part of the world are you in? Email is open if you want to discuss...

sw Mn, not sure if I will get them, need to call the guy again this fall, I think I could part with a radiator if I do get them bought. upper elbows are often brazed up

I should have thought about it more. First reduction shaft actually was changed sometime in late 43 or early 44 when they changed the gear pattern. Brian, I get to a few NATPA pulls if I get a pars tractor bought we might be able to make connections if you know some one that goes to winter pulls.
