53 case vac throdle

Are you asking about a regular VAC (VAC-11, VAC-12, and VAC-13) or a VAC-14? The regular VAC has a throttle quadrant clamped to the steering wheel outer tube and connected with a large choke-type cable to an arm under the gas tank. The early style VAC-14 has a twist lock throttle cable mounted to the left side of the dash. This twist-lock cable connects to the same arm beneath the tank as in the regular VAC. The late VAC-14 has a rod next to the steering wheel that rotates a more complicated mechanism beneath the gas tank.

My '53 VAC-13 had a hand throttle like his parts diagram. Parts were missing and the cable was rusted beyond salvage. I just run a choke cable down from the dash to the pivot. Not original but worked ok.
