I was just wondering if the hood that comes into the cab can be removed to access the back of the engine better. Starting to pull things off to fix the exhaust leak and this would make it much easier of a job.

comes off easy IF you remove the cab first,, sorry its a bit of a pain doing the exhaust but doing it with the cowl on is much easier than trying to take it off cnt
 
That is the major shortcoming of the 70 series and the best improvement on the 90 series. imho
 
Yes it is a pain in the but, I just want to suggest to anyone that might try moving that cowling with the cab on, don't try,it won't come off anyway. On several occasions I've seen where people have tried and they end up messing up the cab seal, wrecking the firewall insulation and the hood and panel allignment gets screwed up. Rod
