What is the difference between a 5505a head and a 5576a head. I Have two cc's and each one has one of these heads.

I believe 5505A is kerosene or low compression and 5576A is high compression or gasoline.

Both the 5505, and the 5576 are DC heads. The CC and early DC's had a different head that the spark plugs went in horizontal. I think the number on it was 5570, but not sure. The old CC head is very low compression, and very few of them are cast with the oil galley to feed the rocker arms. The 5576 is the multi fuel lowest compression of the DC heads, but higher than the CC head. The 5505 head is the high compression gas head. And while we are at it the 6128 is the propane head, higher compression yet with valves that do not interchange with the other heads. Hope this helps DK
