I was in the 8th grade when 1470's where introduced. I was impressed with the pics in the sales lit. which by the way I still have. Always wanted one. Well after 40+ years an opportunity to purchase a clean one at a price I could afford came. I purchased this with no intention of using it much but darn it, I like it. Ya, its noisey and not very comfy but its neat to drive and gets the job very well. The neighbors say, good grief what the heck kind of old Case is he got now! LOL, Rod.

nice clean unit.i didn't realize that any of the 70series had the eagle symbol on the steering wheel. i always thought that that was pretty cool on the 30series.

Your right, this is not the factory steering wheel, its from a 1070 with the eagle cover. I am surprised no one else mentioned that. Rod.

That pipe sounds cool but after a few hours I slipped the muffler back on. I have to install a sound system that uses headphones for a little ear protection. I think these first cabs actually amplified noise. Rod.

No, this tractor spent its previous working life in Garden City Kansas area. The original owners son sold it to a collector in Neb. 5 yr. ago who lost interest in the tractor and then resold it. It was listed on tractorhouse for almost a yr. I was looking for another 1370 and keep going back to the 14. Finally the 14 interest won out and we purchased it. It is all original except the wheels got repainted. Rod.

Rod,
As I have mentioned to Tom many times, the "1470" was really flagship of the fleet, even today she needs to have a Admirel"s flag, yours is very sharp, and listening to her work is only inspiring,I spent many hours in one just like yours, and people would always notice her.

Your neighbors, must also look and have to be fascinated, they always draw attention.
Great post Rod

I haven't looked at the PTO issue yet. I have some scanned pages from Case Nutty to help me figure it out, I hope. Otherwise I'm still glad she is in my shed. I want to get her all cleaned up now that fieldwork is done. Is your shop all done? Your latest posting of the "Case cave" look really nice.
