Will any of the SC Case heads work on my 41 SC? How about the high compression heads? Did they have different pistons as well? I'm going to get a quote from an engine machinist on rebuilding my head, but depending on the price, I may look for a head in better shape that I use / fix up myself. Thanks, Tom |

| Both the 5618 low compression head and the 5617 high compression will fit your 1941 SC. I have a 1941 SC that I changed to the high compression head. There is a rebuilt 5618 head on eBay right now priced at $180.00. About 2 months ago I was charged $433.00 to rebuild a 5617 head and all the valved were new when I took it in. That was a super ouch! |

| Thanks for the information. Good to know either head would work. One would be taking a chance I suppose buying a used head with "condition unknown" on EBay...... might cost $250 bucks to get it by the time you pay shipping, and it may still need extensive work. .... such is life! |
