Case DC update

Hi All,

It has been a few months since I have posted. I was able to get my 53 DC up and running in the Spring - my last post was 'newbe with a DC'

Well, below are some pics from a few weeks ago. With a rebuilt mag, some new parts from John Saeli, the old girl is running great. You would never be able to tell it sat for 10+ years. I will be going back to the farm this weekend - its that time of year to put some fresh antifreeze in!

This really is a great forum - I love the pictures of you guys still farming with Case equipment. Really makes me miss working on the farm.

Congratulations on that nice piece of equipment. I can see you have the Case bug! Yes this is a great forum and you will enjoy it much. A great place to learn more about that DC.

Thanks guys. Here are some more pictures from me plowing this spring. I was able to pick up a Case three bottom slat moldboard plow - I don't think I have ever plowed with such a nice setup. The three bottom complemented the DC well.

The only thing that may have been better was the 7120 ;)

Sorry the pics are a little blurry...

Nice pics., looks like you were having so much fun that you plowed the ground a second time HEHE. The nose weights and the "big front hubs", for both pressed 5 bolt wheels and 3 bolt cast wheels. on the adjustable front axle are not that common.

munson1086,
Nice DC. Great pics.
We have one too - primary job anymore is moving snow. Husband loves it. Used to pick corn with it too.

I love to watch the "DC3" strut her stuff.
Were glad your here sharing your stories and pictures too

Thanks for the comments everyone. I certainly do like bringing this tractor back to her former glory! It will be paint next summer. I didn't have access to email over the weekend, or I would have taken closer pics of the front end. I have attached another picture as I was pulling out of the barn...

I had always thought the front wheels were not 'correct' but they are stamped with old abe... the extra heavy wheels have taken their toll on the front end - I will have to really focus on tightening everything back up - it gets the 'wobbles'

lol - Loren, yes, so excited I plowed again! For some reason I plowed the first strip next to the yard first - I think it was to not mess up the father in laws yard! I love seeing all your pics - I will have to look your farm up sometime - I'm up on route 20 every once in awhile. I live down in Davenport - our farm is back near Corning/Elmira

Below is another DC waiting for some attention - this is our 52 (i believe) DC4 - it ran when we parked it... the old heifer barn works as tractor storage now.
