Hey all, I have a 65 730 diesel. I have been having issues with it boiling coolant out the cap. Found out the thermostat housing was plugged. Got the blockage cleared, but destroyed the old thermostat, which looked like the original. Now I've replaced the thermostat and put a new cap on but it still wants to run out the overflow. I ran it for a while and the manifold got good and warm but the thermostat didnt open as far as i could tell because the housing didnt get hot. IM not sure of the proper orientation of the t-stat because it doesnt look anything like the one that came out. The picture in the online catalog seems to show it going into the manifold vs the housing which isnt how it works on my tractor. So im looking for any help at all. Dont have money to take it to someone but i need to get it fixed before the snow flys. Thanks in advance. |

| Id have to check the book to make sure but i think the thermostat should go in the water manifold. |
