1936 case b model ?

I picked up a running and driving case tractor today. I was told it is a 1936 model b. I have not been able to find any info on this. Is this really a b model ? any help would be appreciated.

That one that was in Lisbon on Craigslist?

The consensus is that there is no consensus.... first glance I thought it was a C, someone else said CC with C front end, another said CC4 without the spacer in the front...

Glad a scrapper didn't get it. If it was a little closer to home I would have went and bought it.

Good buy for the money in any CASE...

No dash tag?

I agree that it is a "C" series tractor, and not a "B". Is there a serial number tag on the toolbox? If not, there there should be a serial number stamped on the engine block. If it is late enough, Rick Tworek may have the build card for it, and it would say what model it really is.

I would say CC with C front end. Spindle drop is different on a CC4 front end. Very good save though. Would make a nice unit for any case collector.

It looks like CC4 to me also. Don't the B's and prototype C's all have a bull gear drive to the rear wheels not the traditional C/D rear axle housing?

there is a 440 stamped on the left side of the engine block. I will look for more stampings on it. The bottom of the tool box is rusted out.
The owner thought the clutch was out of it. The brake pad on the drum just needs a little adjustment.
