I have a Case 2670 with 20.8x34 tires are wore out. I found some 18.4 wheels guy said from a 2670 but the duals are t rail instead of bolting to the hub. There is no hardware for the t rails that I found. Were the 18.4 duals for the 2670 bolt on like the 20.8 s i"m taking off or were there some 2670 with t rails. Where would be a good place to get t rail hardware or maybe buy rims that bolt to the hub for 18.4 tires |

| I bought a 2870 (great tractor) that had once sported clamp on duals. The o-ring bolts for the dual clamps were screwed on to the bolts that tighten the spokes for the inside wheels. So when the clamps were tightened they were not only holding the dual on but trying to pull the spokes outwards.
Many of the spokes were badly worn (and the rims) when I bought the tractor. Many hours spent repairing that.
Anyhow, the long and short is, after seeing that I will never put clamp on's on spoke wheels.
Would recommend that you find proper duals that bolt to the hubs.

| I never thought about it doing that. Doesn't sound good. I would like to find some bolt on rims to fit these 18.4 tires |

| T rails were all after market. You should be able to get new eyes that thread onto the rim clamp bolts on the tractor, and then you should be able to use the "binder type" or threaded "J bolts to lock the duals on to the existing rims. Ungerfurth Mfg. can supply the hardware. Just a note, the clamp on duals drive off the inner rims, to an extent, so the hub to rim connection can be an issue. Loren |
