711b rear main leak

Ol' girl has developed a leak on the rear main. My question is. Since the seal sets inside a plate, that you center up on the crank and then install the seal. Is it possible that the plate is leaking and not the seal/

I have 4 more pulling events this year, and I am just wondering what can be done without splitting the tractor till this winter.

If you can keep oil in it and the clutch does not slip I would just run it. May leave inspection plate off so oil drains to bottom. No matter what it needs split to fix. You are sure it is not the pan gasket?

Possible that it is the pan gasket, I will look at it again.
