Is it possible to raise the drawbar height on my SC? I am currently about 16 inches off the ground and would ideally like to be at 20 inches or really close to that. Pictures would be great if possible. Thanks Brad |

Remove the hydralics and PTO and use a eagle cover or use a pto that is short without hydralics. Shorten the drawbar support to just behing the housing. Get a CASE/IH 5130 drawabr and turn it up. Drill multipule holes in the new drawbar to get different legnths to get the desired weight transfer. You will have to drill 2 3/4" holes in rear drawbar support and make a flatbar to go under drawbar to suuportit.

Just thinkin, on my '54 DC, you can turn the drawbar over to get the right height. Are they the same as the SC? I haven't owned a SC in over 10 years, so kinda forgot how the drawbar is on them.

The drawbars are the same, but they were not reversible until the last few yesrs of production.

Put 20.8 38 tires on it otherwise you need to build something to raise it.

I assume that you are pulling the tractor? SC's usually have the problem that the front end comes up too easily for farm work, and this would make that worse. If your front end is not coming up, then you probably lack power, or you have the thing set up wrong for pulling. Anyway, the drawbar runs just about flush along the bottom of the transmission, so you would have to reinforce it and make a goose-neck out of some steel bar so that it would work and not bend and bind.
