Firstly I'd like to mention I do have a service manual ordered for this thing so soon my many questions will hopefully be answered by a book. I recently removed the aux valve on my 930 and have a few questions. Does hyd fluid get picked up from the pto housing through the pump to the rear of the aux valve then past the pilot valve then through the trans housing and filter or do I have this backwards? Also I've noticed what appear to be test ports or plugs in my aux valve would it be possible to drill and tap these ports to 1/4 or 3/8 npt to add another remote or plumb the pressure to my steering box and ditch the squeling belt syndrome?

Squealing belt syndrome is best cured with good pulleys and belts. To add a valve you'd be better off doing as some had done and plumb one remote into a double or triple spool valve mounted on the fender to give you the extra circuits. My 1030 used to squeal when you turned but a pump rebuild, new belt and pulley brought back one finger steering with full weights.

You have the flow figured out pretty good. After passing through the remote valve it goes through the 3 pt hitch vave (if you have one). Then the unused oil lubes the rockshaft bushings and PTO and some goes through the filter. This is on Draft o matic tractors anyway. I don't think there is a way to take oil out of this valve and use it for steering. This is a open center system and if you were to drill in looking for an oil supply the oil would take the path of least resistance which would be sump. Hope this is not to confusing. Rod
