I"m looking at a DB, what i think is a 1212. I"m thinking the owner before the present one tried a restoration and removed the data plate. The tractor seems hard to get started, but once it does runs great. Any thoughts on what could be the problem? The fuel filters are very old and that was my first thought. Also, where should I look for the serial number? I wrote down three, but none seem to match anything I could find on DBs. |

| The serial number is stamped into the top of the frame, right side, forward of the timing cover, rear of the radiator.
What numbers do you have, I might be able to make something out of them?
Hard starting could be most anything: Injectors, Injector pump(lack of oil changes),Valves, Rings, starter, battery... |
