Hi Group, Several weeks back I posted a question re: using the block from a 1939 DC and several members commented that this tractor should be 'saved', not parted or scrapped. That's a nice thought, however I have not had anyone interested in 'rehoming' it. I listed it photo ads. thanks.

CKain, what is a "best reasonable offer"? I traded scrap iron for mine across the scales. Thing is you are dealing with a 5000# tractor, missing a wheel and with bad tires, but trying to sell it for the price of a running tractor. Maybe run the ad for a month, try craigslist. I'd be a real shame to scrap it. If there wasn't a lake between us and I wasn't broke I'd have it in the barn already. Scrap it once it's gone forever. It's a piece of CASE history.

What page is it on? I can't find it. When I put the address in the search bar, it brings me back here.

John, It's about 22 pages back, in photo ads.
posted on 07/22.

I have the grill and radiator removed. The gas tank rusted away, as usual.. I will probably scrap most of it for the metal price. Was looking for best offer. Thanks

your price would buy a running DC with all tires on it around here

True. I just aquired a loose one with good tires and rims for $500.00

Where's the gas tank? That is first production only as there isn't a dent where the other filler neck would go. Also, the missing wheel and crappy tires don't help much. There's so many odd parts on it that to have collector value need to be there. I traded $500 in scrap for mine and it's there chrome and all, even has the straight plug head.

My business practice is if it doesn't sell in a reasonable time then I need to re-evaluate my asking price.
