What is the difference between the 530 standard and general purpose tractors? I notice that one requires 17 qts in trasmission and the other 21qts. also how much hyd fluid in each one? The manual said to flush hyd system with kerosene. What about the transmission? Flush with kerosene or diesel? thanks |

| It has fixed axles so it must be a standard. I changed engine oil and filter. I used Rotella 15w40. I am going to change hyd oil and filter. Is hyd oil from TSC ok? I read somewhere to flush with kerosene. How much kerosene does it take? WOULD YOU RUN IT FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN DRAIN AND add new oil? When would you change filter before or after flush? what about flushing tranny? Hate to ask so many stupid questions but kinda new to this and want to do it right. any input is appreciated |

| | What model do you have? The 540 (530 diesel) is the standard and the 541 (531 diesel) is the GP Look at your serial plate and it will tell you the model number. 530 is just the "series" of the tractor. |

| The serial plate is missing.I could describe it to you or maybe take some pictures if that would help determine what it is. |

| Yes, pictures will help. Several things to look at. Does it have a fixed front and rear tread (width) if so, it is a Standard, if the front and rear axles are adjustable, it is a GP |
