Well I put a set of autolite 3116 in it and she is purring very smoothly again. Two of the plugs that were removed were very black/sooty. It does smoke lightly while sitting there idling. Is that causing a problem? I gapped the plugs to .030. Thanks for the help. |

| Black and sooty says it is running t rich and is that is so yep that will cause you problems. Main jet is set to rich or the air cleaner needs TLC |

| Thanks old. I appreciate the help. The air cleaner is good. I had the carb rebuilt recently so that's my guess. How can I lean it out a little? |

| Very simple just turn the main jet in a little bit and then make sure it still has the power you want. You may have to adjust it a few times to get it right on the money |
