I have an original VAC PTO shield cover that has the mounting holes torn apart from the shield. I think there are just two carriage bolts that bolt the shield to the flat plate.
I am planning on adding a piece of angle iron to the top.
Can someone post a picture of the PTO shield maybe a rear view so I know what I am dealing with.

Is it possible to get a measurement on the top lip? I want to use angle so it looks like 1-1/2 might do. And also hole spacing. It might be 4-3/8 or 4-1/2 apart.

The carriage bolts go into slots in the shield. That makes the shield easy to remove by loosening the bolts and lifting it upward. I will try to get a picture for you in a few minutes.

Wow, ask and you shall receive. Thanks very much.

My shield has two additional pieces of angle struts coming off the top surface back towards the mounting surface sorta where your circular tabs are at but very close.

I guess there is no side bolts just the top only.

Mowing Man, It was my estimation that these shields were made to fit many tractors, thus only the two top bolts. But on my Case LA I cut some flat washers to fit where the bottom bolts are located, had them welded in place with a wire welder. The back side being all flush and even. It keeps the shield from shaking and breaking out the top bolt mounts.---Derrol in Texas---

The early pto guards had the struts on them.
