I snached an AWF axle from the junk man and am going to install it on one of my narrow front DCs.

My parts book shows an idler pulley assmebly offered so the belt pulley could be used with AWF. I understand it attaches to the square hole in the gooseneck.

I am looking for this assembly or parts of the assembly. Condition does not matter. I can rebuild the pulley bores and and the shaft.

I think it will pick up a max of about 900 lbs. My AWF has never been broken or welded, so I am very careful with it. I do use it to capacity, but I go slow and don't abuse it. I would probably cry if I broke my front end. :(

900 lbs seems safe on smooth ground.

My brother picks up hay in the field amoung the various holes and bumps that animals dig and nature creates. He busted up the front axle of a 656 IH Hydro doing that. It was him that reminded me the DC AWF axle was flimsy to use his word.

Here are a couple of scary pics. I would not want to ride in that basket. LOL Enjoy.

I was planning on building one from scratch and still might someday. I have a pulley found that seems to be the right size and was just going to build the rest of it by scaling off of the parts diagram. I am sure that 99% of the people would never know if it is factory or homemade.

I haven't built it yet because I ended up putting a loader on the tractor and had to remove the belt pulley to install the loader.

I may build one also if I don't get a response.

You probably know that the AWF is light duty. The part in the center that holds the female portion of the center pivot is not very strong. Careful with your loader.
