Hey guys I need some info. I have a 510b that has a bad tach gauge. I found a 800b at the wrecker with what might be a better panel in it. It looks the same as mine but in much better shape. is it the same? Also if the tach is good but something else in it doesn't work how hard is it to take out the individual gauges and swap them?

Tach's completely different. The Tach in the 510B turns in the completely opposite direction of the tach in the 800. Oil Press in the 510 goes to 30psi, the 800 goes to 60psi. Shouldn't be a problem w/ the speed-o-meter or other gauges.
 
Rdrash,Get it if it can be bought at a reasonable price.You might find a 1 to 1 ratio reverser speedo drive adapter that use to be used on some of the old GMC semi tractors.I could have one or two around some place.If the speedo head and some of the gauges will work,You will be that far ahead or have some trading material.Good 800 dash panels are hard to come by and find.
