I have a neighbor who has a Case engine mounted on skids sitting beside a old well. It has set for years and is locked up. The number stamped on block toward the rear on the left side as you stand in front of the radiator looking at the engine is 3109291C and the casting number on head is 4569A. He wants to get rid of it and wondering for sure what it is and if there is an aprx. value. Has American Boesch mag on it.

Same engine as a C or CC. Power units aren't something you find everyday. Most were ran to death and discarded. To dismantle it to fix a tractor would be a waste.

Could be great for parts, (head, manifold, etc). I would think minimum price would be scrap metal. How much does an engine like that weigh? In my opinion, that would be a good starting point for price.

What tractor had this same engine. I think he would take 200.00 for it. I thought it was neat looking but have no need for it, and thought maybe someoen on here would.

Can you get pictures? Have a radiator and gas tank or set up on butane/LP with ground water cooling? I'd say it's anywhere in the $1-500 range. I've bought 2 C tractors a couple years ago for $500 kinda running and $450 needs work. The C/D engines can be expensive to repair. If it were a lot closer I'd grab it.

That should be a 1936 CE power unit or skid engine. DEFINITELY worth saving, not many around and at 76 years old.
