I finished my rebuild (new sleeves, rings and complete head job) a couple months ago. Ran several tanks of gas through just puttering around and about. Last night I ran the all-crop 66 in some wheat for about 45 min. came back to house and had tractor idling and it soon started to smoke some white smoke. Throttled up and it billowed out then no smoke till brought back down to idle for a few minutes. Any Ideas guys?

Thank you

flewster do you remember for sure putting the wrist pin locks in ? the pins can float out and score the cylinders only takes very short time i know this from experiance it takes a new sleeve or maby 4 in friendship gene bradley

We had a guy in a local small garage change a rod in one when I was about 12 years old. He forgot to lock the bolt. I was the one driving it down the road when the top broke off the rod. Imagine that rod swinging around on the crankshaft wide open down the road. When I rolled to a stop the head was the only thing holding the tractor up. One of those things that sticks in your mind for a lifetime.
